Visit Wrangler

As a working Mom of 6, caretaker to my Mother with Alzheimer’s and my husband who is recovering from the after effects of Meningitis and having 4 major strokes which paralyzed him, I am truly blessed and enjoy my positions in life.  I have struggled, and continue to prosper honestly and with integrity never lacking with negative thoughts, negative does not exist in my lifestyle, I rebuke all negative and inspire all positive.

Many of you have asked how I am able accomplish so much. My days begins at 4:30 each morning, I begin each day with Mommy Time, working out, blogging, computer time, relaxing by watching my tivo I recorded days ago.  Each Morning I homeschool my children from 7:30 – 10:00. I begin my day in the office at 10, and end my day at 3.  My two oldest boys are in football and they have practice each day, girls have dance and girls & boys have gymnastics, so my afternoons are for my children as well. I cook dinner, clean house, get kids/Mom in bath / bed, pour candles and in bed usually before midnight.

Having a mother with Alzheimer’s is very difficult, because as a daughter you are able to see the changes immediate, and the hardest part is you try not to let the consistant mumble bother you, or react in a way that she may feel offended, I always laugh with my Mom, I read to her, I take her everywhere with me, when she wants to go, I have awesome friends that come in my home and care for Mom when she does not feel like running around or going to a football game etc. I always talk to Mom about positive things, I read inspiring books to her, we do activities together and she helps the kids when they are doing art projects etc, she really gets involved with my children.  Mom joins in our classroom activities often which is very good for her brain activities.  Keeping her motivated and strong is my goal.  My Mom is my baby, and while she cared for me when I was young, I get to care for her, and I am so blessed.

My husband John as many of you know, football star and bull hauler for over 12 years, and in December he complained of a mild headache, which turned into much worse within minutes, he was life flighted to Austin and was on life support for 9 days, and suffered 4 major strokes which paralyzed him, he is currently unable to return to his hauling bulls, however is working on his real estate license  and each day is a miracle from GOD he is continuing to prove all doctors wrong, and progressing quite well.

Each day I am inspired by friend Susan Harrow who often says “My Life is My Message”, and I set forth each day to spread the message that even though there are hardships, tribulations, and heartache you can overcome it by focusing on the positive.  Things happen for a reason, and in the end it is all a true blessing.  Your stronger, your faithful and your integrity grows with the strength you had to overcome everything.  Be strong in all you do, help everyone with an honest heart, never promise what you can not provide, however never lose the dream, continue to do greater things in what you have been blessed with, and inspire someone you know today by sharing my blog an sending a message in life, and live your life each day in your message to everyone you meet.

Most of us spend our entire lives trying to earn acceptance. We want to earn it from our parents, peers, partners in life, from people we respect, maybe even from people we envy. The drive to be accepted is a deep drive that can influence the kind of clothes you wear, the kind of car you drive, the kind of house you buy, even the career you choose.

Remember as a kid you wanted so badly to be in the in-crowd that someone would say to you, “I dare you to do this,” and they’d suggest something that was either stupid, or that put your personal safety at risk. But, you did it anyway because your desire to be accepted overruled the desire for safety.

We do it because we love the feeling of “I’m OK, I’m accepted; somebody accepts me.” When you’re accepted, it does tremendous things for your self esteem. The truth is Jesus accepts you and that acceptance is not based on your performance. In fact, you may have received Christ and accepted Jesus into your life, but do you realize that you’re able to do that because Jesus accepted you? You don’t have to earn his acceptance; you don’t have to prove yourself to him.

We need to stop thinking, “I’ve got an unpleaseable God up there and I’ve got to be a good boy, or good girl, to be accepted.” God, through Jesus Christ, has already accepted you. That’s the good news!

The Bible teaches, “Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me” (Psalms 27:10 NIV). Now, the fact is, some of you had an unpleaseable parent. No matter what you did, it wasn’t good enough. For instance, if you got B’s on your report card, you had a parent who wanted A’s. If you got lots of A’s, that parent wanted straight A’s. No matter what you did, you couldn’t find acceptance.

The tragedy is that some of you even today are still trying to prove yourself to an unpleaseable parent. You’re still trying to earn that acceptance. I want to say two things to you:

1. In all likelihood, you’re not going to get it. If you haven’t gotten it by now, then you’re not likely to ever get it—and that is your parent’s problem, not yours.

2. You don’t need that acceptance to please God. You’ve been accepted by God. There are nearly 6 billion people on the planet, if some of them don’t like you, who cares? You don’t need it. You have been accepted by God!
